Yes, of course. I have ICQ, Yahoo and AIM accounts (not the programs themselves) administered by Trillian Pro. Wouldn't be without it. Pete
I have accounts with AIM, Yahoo, ICQ and MSN. However, I'm mainly only on MSN just because the people I do want to chat when can get ahold of me there. Also, the other staff at my website have that address so they can quickly reach me if needed. I don't use AIM anymore, since they install WildTanget on your machine (you can install it without, however the menu's are a bit confusing, and is set up to install with out the user knowing) and also WeatherBug, which now comes with MySearchBar. I would use ICQ more widely if the people I talk to often use it, but they don't even know it what it is. Same thing with Yahoo. So MSN it is.
No, I have enough interruptions already. And no one I know uses it that I need/want to talk to quicker than just emailing.
Hardly ever, any more. I used to use ICQ quite a bit, and still keep it installed (and more or less up to date), but I'm like mccarob, most of the people I know these days never even heard of it. So these days I'll typically open it briefly once a day or so, to see if by any wild chance someone's left a message or has left a request for authorization to add me to their list. And it's been ages since the last time either of those happened.
I used to use Windows Messenger a lot. Then most of the friends on that messenger scattered to the four winds and the usage dwindled to the point that the Windows Messenger needed to be (lol) disabled with a registry hack because it was a pita. I do use Yahoo Messenger to manually ignore the spam bots that are so prevalent in the Yahoo Game Rooms. But for chatting purposes, no, I don't use messengers anymore.
Well, all I know is, is that people can't contact you if they don't have your details - mine are always in my profile here if anyone wants to yak. ("An IM program is a terrible thing to waste!" ). Pete
