No because I already have a tablet I regret and a smartphone that does precisely what I need it to do and nothing more. I don't feel a need to mix worlds.
I will probably buy one soon. Quite possibly it will be a Kingelon N9000 which copies the design of the Note 3 for a fraction of the cost. In the past I thought that phablets were ridiculously large, however over the past 3 years I have gone from a 3.7" Android phone to a 4" then 4.3" and now I have 5" phone. Quite surprisingly I never find the 5" screen size to be too big, and and would gladly have a larger screen. However 6" or bigger still seems to big in my opinion. I remember the first time I used a Galaxy S2 and thinking the 4.3" screen was ridiculously large.
No. I will get one in the future if: 1. A fully compatible 'Out-of-Contract' USA version is available. 2. It is available at a reasonable price. 3. A good case is available. 4. A good holster is available. 5. A good screen protector is available. 6. A good extended battery is available (optional).
You can buy an unlocked Note 3 copy which is the exact same size as the original and works with all Note 3 accessories for under $200.
Samsung Galaxy MEGA with 6.3" screen. I already had a Samsung phone and tablet, but they were aging badly and I wanted to do everything on one device. the MEGA with its 6.3 inch display seemed like a good compromise - it was the biggest phone I can still comfortably talk into and carry around in my pockets.
I had to look phablet up. Guess my Samsung Galaxy S4 is too small to be one. So no. Funny though, I can do the same sort of stuff on it and a tablet.
No, I prefer to have separate tablet and phone. Usually those things are too big for me to use them as phone...
Interesting device!Although it not has the same hardware specs as a real Note 3,this phablet seems to be real value foe money!
Just got a Lumia 1520. An actual tablet would be mostly useless when I have a laptop but most phones are too small to be useful, in my opinion.
@xxJackxx First of all welcome to the Lumia Windows phone club. How do you like the L1520? I got a L520. I think L1520 has the muscle and the specs to turn around anyone's opinion about phablets.
No. Never will. Phone (iPhone 5s) needs to be small and portable for work. When I need something bigger I have an iPad 3, and kindle fire hd 7" (running vanilla aosp), and wife has a iPad mini.
No and i never will because every year they are getting bigger and bigger. Current high end phones are almost too big to carry comfortably in my pocket.
I think 6.5" phones are ridiculously large, but there will always be smaller sized phablets too. Considering that these days I spend most of the day in front of my laptop, I don't use much my smarthphone for much other than making calls most of the time. If I want to use apps or play games I use my tablet. If I spent a lot of time away from my computer I would me more inclined to want a phablet.
I have a Galaxy S3 now. Previously I had a blackberry. So to go from my blackberry to the huge screen was kind of a shock. Now I look at my friends note 3 and think I might want one. The battery life is usually a little better and the CPU is quicker.
I originally had an Android phone with 3.7" inch screen. When a friend bought a Galaxy S2, with a 4.3" screen, it seemed ridiculously large. Then I upgraded to a 4" phone and, at first it did seem huge, but before long I really liked the larger size. Next I upgraded to 4.7" phone and now have a 5" phone which surprisingly does not seem excessively large, considering that a couple of years back a 4.3" screen seemed to be much too big.
