    hi
i'm a firefox users ,but in the last period i really liked chrome
what makes me mad is that i can't export passwords
in the new version i noticed it can't even import password correctly from firefox

i haven't found an extension to export chrome password and re-import

i guess the only way is too keep sync

    do you trust about it?
have you find a way to export and import offline?

    thanks

Google is providing a way to import and export your passwords.
Do you see the following flag disabled?
If it's not disabled, maybe try to explicitely enable this flag, then restart the browser.

You should have settings to import/export your passwords. "Import/Export" at the lower right:

I don't trust any browser password store at all, even when I set master password.
Better to use (good) password manager.

    ;)
The exported file is a simple csv-file with this format: "name, url, username, password"
You can even edit it manually without problems.
And existing entries are not deleted after your imported a file (but the password is changed)

    I did a quick test with import/export:
If you have 10 entries and import a file with only 1 entry in it, after clicking on "import" you'll have 11 entries.
= Your existing entries are not deleted.

But Chrome keeps the password from the imported file. Your existing password is overriden for entries with the same website + username.
    existing entry: "test.com user1 password"
    imported file: "test.com user1 password_new"
    after importing: "test.com user1 password_new"

If there is a different username for a website it's simply added:
    existing entry: "test.com user1 password"
    imported file: "test.com user2 password_new"
    after importing: "test.com user1 password"
    "test.com user2 password_new"
    = 2 entries

Well said, there have been too many vulnerabilities, that manage to gain passwords saved in browser (even encrypted and in Chrome).
Not to mention, they did not even need passwords, they just used hashes to log on to webpages. But it is OK for forums and such.

The import/export-feature was added 3 months ago.
In general i look at about:flags after each new release if there was a new flag added, and several months i saw this flag.

But i don't use the builtin password feature and i will not use it.
