Although you're the originator of this idea, I'll take the credit anyways. :D

    Hi Amit
Thanks, I will take some of the credit then :D, but to be truthful all I did was to elevated the suggestion that sdmod has made to Tony #1290.

I don't care either way, but if SD gets one, I think other applications are actually more apt to need one, based on popularity. SD is great, I agree, but I think it is in its death throes unless the developer appears again. The nail in the coffin will be the OS version that it no longer works in. Anyone tried it on win8?

    Hi Sully
I do not think it will work on Win8 has it is :doubt: , but should on the next version #1278.

Whoa. I didn't know he was back on this project. When did that happen. That is some good news!

Edit: after reading a little of your link, and having been to the SD forums, that might not be a bad idea to have an area here. However, if "Tony" isn't capable of english communication, I don't really know as it would be any different than it is now really.

    Hi Sully
You edited your last post while I was replying.

The biggest and most important differences would be knowing that any new versions are genuine developed by Tony the developer of SD.

I voted yes, but under the condition that Tony has been verified as found and is actively working with SD.

Although I'd like to see one (A Shadow Defender Sub Forum) as well as find out proof positive that the original developer for Shadow Defender "Tony" is back, the reality of the question "Do you think Shadow Defender should get formal Forum at Wilders Security Forums" is entirely up the the Moderators and Administrators here at Wilders and no one else.

Is this how new forums get created, via member polls?
Seems to me LWM would prefer private correspondence, but I might be wrong about that.

Yes, Although I have proposed a SD forum here as a possibilty to Tony, I haven't yet received his reply and don't want to jump the gun, I'm trying to follow forum protocol and do things properly by small steps and I'm not taking anything for granted.
nb regarding having a Shadow Defender forum on Wilders, I would of course if/when it came to it discuss it with Paul Wilders first

    Problems to consider

There is the big problem of language

Tony says he uses Google Translate when necessary but when I put my last email to him (In English) through Google Translate into Traditional Chinese and another Chinese and then translated those chinese texts back to English (as a test of the quality of the translation) I couldn't even make sense of my original text.
    This is a real problem

Ill see what feedback I get from Tony first before I proceed.

Also he is a single person developer so probably doesn't get much time for forum input.

Looks like it's not going to be possible

I just received this from Tony

    "Hi Patrick,

    Thanks for your help.
When i see a full screen of English, My eyes will lost their focus.
and it will spend me a lot of time to read and understand them.
I like email because i can read them one by one, this will make me keep
    a cool head.

    Best regards,
    Tony"

LOL,I can understand that just thinking a few words in english maybe a whole paragraph in chinese. Imagine him translate a long post in english,Tony would probably fall a sleep with reading glasses twisted around his head.:D

Until there's substantial evidence to prove the real Tony's back, I guess the mods and admins wouldn't agree to the idea...so I'm not voting anything for now.
