Do you get infected by trojans from just surfing? Also about Kazaa

Speaking about Kazaa. How do you know when that file that you are trying to dl is bad, like a virus or trojan?

I know why you have it but you are just looking for problems with your computer. My suggestion, uninstall it. I had to reformat my sons laptop because of Kazaa and his file sharing.
