Prevx seems to cover a lot of ground and I was wondering, what extra protection would using SpywareGuard add if any? Thanks for help.

    No.

If you use a good anti-spyware with realtime protection (Such as microsoft Antispyware) you shouldn't need SpywareGuard as it is redundant with what MSAS (Realtime and on demand Spyware detection with signatures) and what PrevX (Generic Intrusion Detection System, sort of like SpywareGuard) does.

I use PrevX and MSAS without SpywareGuard and use Firefox as browser. I personally havn't gotten any form of spyware since...

On the otherhand, if you are paranoid about security and/or have enough RAM on your computer to cope with a high amount of security applications, you can install SpywareGuard...
