I want to upgrade to a bigger HD and I want to do this using True Image 9. Do I need to format the new drive first or will True Image do the format as part of the cloning process? :doubt:
    Thanks

No need to format first when cloning.

TI takes care of it so long as it can be seen. Runing from win, you might need to initializethe drive in windows (My computer, Manage, Disk Management) so that it can be seen for formatting.

    Hello David40,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please notice that the destination drive is automatically wiped during the cloning process.

You can find the detailed information on the cloning process in chapter "Transferring the system to a new disk" of the respective User's Guide.

    Thank you.
