Back in 2008 (you remember, before the GFC) I took advantage of an offer from my ISP, Singtel/Optus, of 12 months free subscription to a badged F-Secure IS product.

Today, for reasons not interesting enough to explain, I recovered an image of that install and apparently, after large updates and 2 reboots, my subscription remains "valid"!

Ah Glitch in the system? I'm sure that someone will catch up with it at some point. Other than that, enjoy your good fortune.

You would be using an outdated av engine anyway I guess, check components installed and subscription validity info. In any case I wouldn't tell it to anyone :D
