DiskCopy may have potential. It's very small and virtually portable. DiskCopy.exe is 1.18 MB, but when you run it, it puts an even smaller file, DiskCopy64.exe at 655 KB in the temp folder on a 64-bit system. If you copy DiskCopy64.exe from the temp folder, you can execute that instead, and it runs totally portable.
Apparently Disk Copy isn't compatible with Windows 8.1 x64. All i get is a blank bunch of boxes However another of their programs does- PCData Back QuickUserManager - Now there is another useful app- SOS Security Suite is pretty interesting too.
If any members here try this feel free to pass along your results. As an initial release i cannot test it on 8.1.

HOT DOG GONE YEAH! Now she works!!! Thanks a mountain @mood and Huge Thumbs Up for the maker of this little program now.
Others might weigh in on that. We're just glad that the program finally populated and display as intended now. The earlier version there was only blanks in the boxes but they have remedied that with bug fixes.

No source drives shown in Windows7. Yes, it still works great. Strange nothing shows though? Also, text too small. Not supporting high dpi, is that the right term? I'm at 1080p, 150%.
Same here. Disk Copy is entirely incompatible with anything before Windows 10. Shame too since it will fade into oblivion soon as all software does that's not backward compatible in some fashion to previous windows versions. No source drives shown in Windows7 OR 8.1-
