    Hi,
I had an existing partition with 400gb of space. There was an additional 400gb of unpartitioned space on the disk. I resized the disk to 800gb using the slider.

Now when I look at the disk in Acronis it shows it as 800gb but when I look at in Windows it still shows 400gb.

What do I need to do to make Windows see the full 800gb?

    thanks

Welcome to the forum. Could you please post two screen shots?

    1) View of your disk layout from Acronis Disk Director
    2) View of your disk layout from Windows Disk Management.

The information contained in these screen shots will help us figure out what happened.

Both Disk Director and Windows Disk Management show the partition as being 800 GB. I see the 399 GB size in Windows Explorer -- have you rebooted your PC after resizing the partition?

I suggest downloading the .iso file for ADD from Acronis web site, building the CD, and booting from the CD to see what it shows.

And, using System REscue CD to see what it finds. Or, a an Ubuntu Live CD.

I shrank it back down to 400gb and then I expanded it back to 800gb and now everything looks good.

Don't know why it was not working before.

    thanks for you help
