    Hi,
I tried to install yesterday, no luck. when I start the machine I get, " Starting Acronis Loader." then, " Processing, please wait " and again below that, " Processing, please wait ". Well I wait and wait, and nothing else happens.
Any help on this would be very welcome.

It sounds like you installed OSS. Did you?

What OS are you using? (Windows ME, XP, Vista, etc.)

Did you install DD from Windows?
Did it give you a choice of whether or not to install OSS?

    Are you multi-booting?

Is your computer relatively new? You may want to upgrade to DD 10 as it contains betters support for newer hardware.

    Hi MudCrab, thanks.

It sounds like you installed OSS. Did you? Yes I think I did.

What OS are you using? (Windows ME, XP, Vista, etc.) XP Home Edition.

Did you install DD from Windows? Yes.
Did it give you a choice of whether or not to install OSS? Not sure.

Are you multi-booting? I'm intending too.

Is your computer relatively new? You may want to upgrade to DD 10 as it contains betters support for newer hardware. PC about 4 years old.
I have solved the problem now, I did a search of the forum, and found an archive, couple of people had same problem and how solved it. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/archive/index.php/f-73.html
help with Acronis Director Suite 9.0
I downloaded the MBR repair file, mbrautowrite_en and made an ISO image and put it on a RW disk. Booted from that, works fine now. Have resized my 2 partitions, seems very straightforward, and for me, foolproof :)
Also True Image 10 is due to arrive in a couple of days.
    Regards,
    Peter.
