Disc Cloning problem

Hello All this is my first post here. So be nice to me. I am using Acronis true image 10 trying to clone a hard drive. Every thing goes fine. Then i remove the orignal primary hard drive. Swap the pin on the slave to primart instll it and re boot then nothing no bootable drive. Go into the bios and all the suddedn under hard drives and CD drives it says unknow device please help what iam i doing worng. I can take the cloned disc out reinstall the orignal and all is good

 

At least you're luckier than others in that your original still works.
Make the bootable True Image CD, boot with it and try the Clone again.

 

That sounds good but even with a bootable cd when the new hard drive is put in to place you have no bootable drives it does not reconize the cd drives or any of the hard drives. All drives in the bios just say un known.
