My computer freezes during shutdown, so I have to turn it off manually whenever I want to turn it off. The only way I can make the computer shut down normally is to first close all programs and services (using SmartClose, http://i.domaindlx.com/bmproductions/smartclose/) - but to close all these programs I have to disable PG! Is this a security risk (since I'm shutting down the computer anyway), or is is better to leave PG enabled and have the computer freeze during shutdown? (I can also prevent the shutdown freeze by disabling the Event Log service in Windows, using Msconfig, but then my AV [Symantec Corporate AV] doesn't scan incoming email.)
Hi LM1, Have you placed SmartClose in PG's Protection List with permission to terminate protected apps? Nick
