    Evening all,
I have multiple hard drives installed, but not every one of them is used at all times. Since they are plugged into the power supply, everytime I turn on the computer, the hard drives all spin. I would like to save electricity by disabling these drives or preventing them from spinning their platters. My question is: how do I achieve this without having to open up the case and unplug them from the Power supply?
    My possible solutions are:
    1. Disable them in the device manager.
2 Disable them in the Bios.

Which one actually works? If neither, is their a solution?
    Thanks for your input.
