Sometimes, life is difficult. Plague, famine, war, random browser changes, you name it. Luckily, there's an easy solution for the last one on the list. Here's a short article explaining how to change the new and intellectually challenged full-width location bar drop-down list of text hits in Firefox 48 to the previous look and feel from Firefox 47 using the Classic Theme Restorer extension. Enjoy.

Change for the sake of change is often pointless. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

The folks at Mozilla are morons. Making it like Chrome is the last thing people want.

There have been a lot of Mozilla decisions that I haven't liked in recent years, but I like this full width view of the address bar.
On my computer, I get to see the full page title and full address on one line instead of having it truncated. More is better for me on this occasion. :thumb:

    Don't say such things !

If something is newer then it must be better , right ?
....that's the message from my TV anyway , and who am I to question it ? :)

But joking aside , I tried the FF update just now , and I don't see any differences ( but then I've been running Classic Theme forever )
I haven't needed to do the "about:config" tweaks that are mentioned in the Dedoimedo article

I like the new change as well. Looks more streamlined.
However, i would have liked it more, if url is displayed first and then the site title.

i dont like it also but i dont call people coding a browser "moron". what do you call a product from "morones"? And why do you still use it?

some people got problems and rants...

btw this thread is about a solution - not to rant about it.

There are many things you can call such a product. Take your pic.
Sometimes, it's the matter of having no alternative.
    But yes, the solution, indeed.

I'm not using it except on Mac/Linux where I run it ESR.

    On Windows, I run Cyberfox.

the new address bar is visible since v48, not before so no need to make changes.
cyberfox and other browsers IMO hve their own support forum, that's too specific for here i think.
