Hi Everyone I'm wondering if in 4.x there's a way via script or admin tools to disable to on access scanner during our backup procedure?

    Thanks, Mitch

    Hello,

Click on the icon in the systray >Disable Real‑time protection.

From this disabling, no protection provided by NOD32.

Do not forget to activate it again at the end of the backup

You could try the ESET File Security for Microsoft Windows Server beta, or wait for the final version. This has the new eShell interface which allows for scripting.

why don't you just exclude the backup software from being scanned instead of disabling the real-time scanner.

    Thanks for all the responses!

Sacles: I have 68 servers to back-up and would really like the ability to automate it.

dmaasland: Thanks for the tip I'll have to check and see if we have licensing for ESET File Security when it has a final version.

Jdeane: Our backup software runs remotely on each server so I don't know if it can be excluded that way.

With our backup software I can run pre and post scripts that's where I was hoping to disable and then re-enable the ESET service...

Does the backup software run a local backup agent on each server which can be excluded?
