    tnx for the news.

i own licenses to many file managers, including DOpus 9.
i'll have a look at this new version.

The what's new section did not specifically illustrate what the change is. Some "before" and "after" screenshots comparison would better illustrate what exactly the change is.

it's supposed to be THE file manager.
this kind of apps is geared toward the power user.

DOpus is very good but it is overkill, in my case...

As a former ExplorerPlus user, I thought Directory Opus was the obvious choice to replace it ... until I gave DO a trial. Too invasive to suit me. In the end, I opted for software that rests lightly on the OS. I use a43 and FreeCommander, instead. I can't say I consider either one to be flawless, but they are good enough and a heckuva a value considering the price.

i just upgraded to version 10 tonight.

i've had paid versions of a few files managers for many years but stopped using them when Windows 7 came out.
i thought Windows 7's Explorer was decent enough.
until a few days ago when it's limitations started to get on my nerves.

so i dusted off my old licenses and re-installed XYplorer, Xplorer 2 and Directory Opus.

i settled on DOpus because it is the more professional of all of those i've tried so far.

it works perfectly in W7 and it integrate nicely with the W7 GUI.

it's quite expensive but the license gets you free upgrades until the next major version, which is once every 3 years or so.
in this regard, the price is decent especially with the upgrade discount.

by using DOpus i was able to uninstall 5 programs that DOpus can handle: a zip/rar decompressor, an image viewer, a FTP transfer program, a file synchronization program and a program launcher. :)
