I am a little confused as to what role each plays. I have SG v2.2 running constantly in my tool-bar, however deifinitions date shows 1/22/04. I have SpyWare Blaster v3.2, and database date is current. I am just confused as to what each is protecting me from. Are they redundant?

Hi there - and welcome to Wilders!

Your SG is also up to date - take a look in the sticky to learn more about SG and why it is updated in frequently.

Also see the sticky for SWB to see the differences.

The links in the stickies may also be helpful. Let us know if you have further questions after reading those.
