    Hi

    i have a home office of 4 pc's
i want to organise for backups to happen every night for each pc to a network raid storage

can anyone tell me what is the difference between True Image Home 2009 and Backup & Restore 10 workstation (i don't need to manage it centrally)

i speak to sales people and all they say is that i can get the universal backup (which looks like it is coming out in True Image 2010) and that the interface is different

from reading the website they both have just about the same functions

can anyone help me by explaining the differences?

    thanks in advance
    Anthony

    Qld.
ABR10 Standard Workstation has the following extras (note an ABR10 product's tib file has a different internal format to a 2009 file.)

Can work with Dynamic and GUID Disks.
Can image to a dual location.
    Has built in task/scheduling algorithms.
    Has VSS awareness
    Can read VHD files.
Can convert VHD to tib and vice versa
Requires more user knowledge in being set up - especially with the new GUI.

From a hoe users point of view, it is more flexible than TI Home, has a better scheduling system, slightly more robust. Works more happily with SAN's and NAS's and Tape backup.
The vault idea as an image location allows more flexibility.
