It's sad that some people have nothing better to do than to deface anothers work, unless it's a phishing site on the receiving end.

I wonder why they are assuming that the hackers are from overseas if this actually was a "random attack".

Yes, the title is funny. Who cares where it came from? Silly people trying to make this an issue of another nature?
Without further info., this is a case like many others, with no distinction, imo
