    Hi Everyone,

I recently installed Acronis DD suite. As I only have one operating system,
I did not want to install the OSS . But after looking thru my computer, I found the following : OSSelectorReinstall - c:\program files\common files\acronis\acronis disk director\oss_reinstall.exe .
Does this mean I did install the OSS when I installed Acronis DD ?

Yes you have, but if you haven't activated it, then just the program is there.

Did you choose custom install when installing?

Do you have an OSS shortcut on your desktop?

It looks like I installed OSS, but it's not activated . I used the typical install and I have no OSS decktop shortcut.

If you installed OSS, you'll have the OSS desktop icon and also a menu item for it. Also, BOOTWIZ folders will exist an every hard drive in your computer (you may have to enable viewing of hidden & system files to see them).

I would guess that OSS is not actually installed. I have never had it install with a regular or custon DD install. You always have to run the OSS install program to install OSS.

As far as I know, the file your referring to is a small program that just checks that the OSS files are correct. I don't think it does anything in most cases and if OSS is not installed it won't do anything.

I have the same file in the same place on my machine and I definitely DO NOT have OSS installed.
