Hi, folks: This is the kind of attachment(sign) you normally can see on the storefront when that shop is closed for good, and owner is hiding elsewhere. And dodging liabilities. It is a history now, pal.

I can still get into the members area, not that I want to mind you. My advice is forget about DiamondCS. What happened to Wayne is his own doing, and I don't think he is coming back.

I have been to many websites where tech support just abruptly ends communications and then is not heard from again in over several years. No further information is disseminated regarding the status of the company. I guess I wonder why their sites are still up? Who is paying the webpage server bills? o_O

    What did happen?

I've been out of the loop for a while, but I did like DiamondCS and their approach to security; disappointed to see them MIA.

Don't know what happened to Wayne. He just stopped answering any messages here. Paul shut down and archived the DiamondCS forum on December 24, 2006: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=159189. Jason started his own company (Ghost Security) long before the shut down here. Gavin is working for Mischel Internet Security and has his own web site: www.anyspyware.com. I am not sure if he had any association with Diamond. I still use WormGuard and ProcessGuard. I was hoping the company would become active again. But as time goes on it is looking less and less likely that will ever happen.

Out of all this list of dependable malware apps i also favored highly ProcessGuard and found it quite formidable, shame they didn't or couldn't extend more effort on it but they have to know they still after all this time have a loyal following from their releases.

One thing of note: On ALL my installs i always also install APT which is been invaluable in what it helps to accomplish. And by golly its a freeware app of all things. Great program! As is PG.

It's a shame. I'm still using ProcessGuard which is a great program but I would like to have some input from Diamondcs and an upgrade to keep up with the constantly changing underworld of hackers and malware.

Has anyone tried to contact them, perhaps through different channels in a roundabout way? Maybe Gavin can help us out in this. I'd like to hear form them once and for all concerning what we can (or can't) expect in the future.

The PG part of the site is active also. It is just the main page that is down and has that message. You can even try to buy PG and you get to Digital River...I don't know what happens if you pursue it beyond that.

Yeah...I keep hoping Wayne will surface but I suppose that is unrealistic. I think Vista had a big role to play in what happened. If anyone knows why what happened did and what Wayne is doing now it would probably be Kevin McAleavey as they were/are good friends. I would buy software from Wayne if he surfaces. I consider PG to still be my number one security and privacy application. I've tried the rivals and nothing works as well or as easily as PG.

G1111 and others, thanks for the comprehensive info.

Do we know if the last version (3.400 or 3.410) was stable/reliable?

Is there anybody who has tried to purchase the full version since the "disappearance"?

Read the archived threads. I think some people did and never received a key. Sadly, I would consider DiamondCS history, until events prove that wrong.

I am using 3.410. It is stable on my machine (XP2) and was the last update.

I am also using 3.410 on XP sp2 without any problems, though I do remember reports of some people having issues.

I think it may have been related to not fully uninstalling a particular previous version.

This looks like a completely redesigned page. They may be alive after all from a business sense.
I was still able to go in and get my old password...hmmm... :)

That page was done before Wayne disappeared. Unless Wayne were to appear and post a lenthgy explanation, consider it over. There is no hmmm involved.

Hi,folks: IMO, if any security application is left out in cold for more than 6 months (PG has been out of support for longer than this), then any resurrection in any form is just too late and too little for users' comfort. Move on folks! have a nice day.

Does anyone know the specifics as to what happened to DiamondCS and Wayne? The two of us conversed via little over a year ago via e-mail about a problem I was having. I just went to their web site to buy two more Port Explorer licenses when I saw the problem. If anyone could fill in some details, that would be great.

Do hope i'm wrong but no word form DCS all this time is not good.
I do wish that whoever knows what happened to them would let everyone know. That i'm afraid will never happen and we will still be left in the dark.
