Blue Friday. I've scribbled a short, unsuccessful review of Devuan 4.0 Chimaera, tested in a multi-boot Windows and Linux setup on a laptop with UEFI, AMD Ryzen processor and Vega graphics, covering live session, unfriendly installation (twice) and no post-install usage due to botched bootloader setup. Take a look. https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/devuan-chimaera.html Cheers, Mrk
I’ve tried Devuan a few times in the past too, and hated it as well. Debian OTOH has evolved quite a bit, and it’s what I use today. The default XFCE install is as ugly as Devuan’s but that’s not their fault, it’s XFCE default desktop. Gnome and Cinnamon DEs offer a much better default desktop in Debian.
