Device Manager MRU

    Can anyone tell me where Windows XP stores the MRU for the last used driver paths

    I'm eager to learn that one also because I'm only aware of the registry storing MRU's(Most Recently Used) items in respect to files....as in a Recent File List key....and yes....I reckon a device driver is a file o_O

    i guess they must have some way of recording at least the previous driver since they give you the option to "restore previous driver" Maybe they store them in the same place with the current driver with some kind of designation for backup?
