In the firewall log I see many of these messages (Detected Unexpected Data In Protocol). It originates both from my IP address and from other IP addresses as well, 2 of them. Any idea what it is?

Someone told me that Im being port scanned. Do you think Im in danger guys? Am I being attacked? Any idea what is happening?

While this happened my usage meter showed me that from the usual 200bytes a second download rate when idle, it spiked up to 1kb a second when I was "port scanned". Any idea?

    Hello,

There is insufficient data here to make any sort of informed comment. How long has ESET been logging this activity? Was there a time when you did NOT have these entries appear in your firewall log? You could enable special logging to gather more data in your firewall log.

    Thanks,

    Matt
