Every time I am downloading with Deluge, Chrome and FF starts running slow. The torrents are only downloading at 1 - 2mb a sec, and I have 450mb download speeds. Are there any changes that I can make in Deluge to remedy this?

    Thanks in advance.

Maybe your upload is too much used by torrenting? Torrent is P2P network. You not only download, but also shares files.

Or maybe you Wifi is slower than Internet access provided by ISP?

By visiting web pages (HTTP) you are not sharing files, but you still need at least some sort of upload to send requests.

I'm on a Ethernet cable. My upload is 12mb. I can upload around 1.5mb or so. But when torrenting, it's only uploading at 200k or so, not very much.

You can disable you upload or limit your upload to 1KB if there's no option.
What makes you think it's only Deluge issue? have you tried to download by another tool, maybe browser's built in?
Also if a torrent is not seeded enough it will be slow downloading.

There are many questions around what you're describing. What do you mean by running slow? Did you check if there's a latency increase? Is your router capable of handling the traffic? Or your computer? Is there any disk activity?

This would decrease downloads of torrents drastically. Limiting upload is good, but not too much.

Yes but that's not for everyone, if OP has limited quota that would end it for them in a few days or even hours. If one has unlimited quota then it is appreciated to seed so others can download.

    Has 15mb/s upload. Limiting to 4 mb/s or 1 mb/s is reasonable, not 1 kb/s.
