not considering the rollback feature of both these products, which one offers better protection? visiting a dangerous site or opening a malicious exe file,a virus is likely to penetrate the defense of which one of these products?

i think sandboxie better than defensewall.

    sandboxie virtualize any action.

Both provide excellent protection, but work slightly different.
I run DefenseWall in real time and Sandboxie on demand, as they work well together.
But if your looking to chose one, then you could not go wrong with either.
Try both to see what fits your needs.

For my two cents worth - toss a coin as to which provides better protection.

Would be the two best security apps around.:thumb:

Even driver's installation?! ;) You definitely should learn more about the tool (SBIE) you use.

DW is great, but SBIE's proponent doesn't diss the competition.

I must say that both ilya and ronen respect each other and appreciate each other's work.

It was not very long ago that the defensewall developer got together
with the sandboxie developer to resolve issues in a very amicable manner
and ensure that the two programs did not conflict and,
    in fact, worked well together.

I own, use and like both products.

Hi, Both are great apps, but I found this:

With IE7, WinXp Sp3, Intel duo core processor:
DW (v.2.45) runs more quicker and smoother than SBIE (v.3.32).

Sandboxie outperformed Defensewall on both my XP and Vista machines. DW liked to hit the pavement multiple times on my older desktop. I tried to use it with IE or Firefox and it crashed hard. :(

It has been like three or four months ago since I tried it. I work a lot of hours so I didn't have time to troubleshoot. I might try to install the latest version during the Thanksgiving holiday.

My current setup is ZA Pro 2009, Antivir Premium and Mamutu. I have a Pentium 4 processor, 2.6 GHz XP machine.

The crash might be caused by the activeskin issue.
If it is, Ilya is working on it. ;)

Maybe I can order some Jessica Simpson's Proactiv to help my poor machine out? :D

I thought maybe I deleted some of the Rollback files as well. Sandboxie is easy to figure out with default settings compared to DW. My DW license expires in July 2009.
