    trying this beta,after install it asked me for new update click yes,after that,pc rebooted,,saw the about,and now is back to version 3.01 ..?

    If you allow an automatic update it will always load the latest release version. When using beta versions you have to update manually only.

    IMO, the problem could be easily circumvented simply by entering a string containing the version number in the popup that informs the availability of a new update...
