    1. After re-installing my computer, I have only one error in "System Events", that appears regularly.

    Source : Service Control Manager
    Category : None
    Event ID : 7009
    Description :
Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the DefenseWall internal service to connect.

I don't think, I'm seconds from disaster, but it annoys me.

    2. DefenseWall's latest version refuses my older license and it's also a different file-type.

    Thank you for your attention.

    ErikAlbert,

Have you send a post to the DefenseWall forum for your problem?

For the lisence just rename it from lisence.RDF to lisence.DWU

    Regards K.

Is it THAT simple ? Unbelievable, I will try it. Thanks.

I will install the latest version first, if the problem is still there, I will report it as suggested.

Yup, I had to change license key extension from .rdf to .dwu as .rdf is wildly used by Mozilla's products plus DW 2.xx implements double-click registration and that could do a lot of confuses.

What is your current version of Windows?

Sorry for late response, I was busy with bigger problems.
I use WinXPproSP2, but the problem SEEMS to be gone, since I installed the latest version, but I have to check this in my real system partition.
At this moment I'm working in a test system partition and there is no error anymore.

If the error still occurs in my real system partition, I will report it to you.

The registration is fixed. So maybe both problems are gone. :)

    Grand Master Ilya Rabinovich,

I restored my real system partition and re-checked Event Viewer. Did some fixes also.
All Event logs are clean now, not even one warning, nothing but blue Info-icons, which also means that all related errors to DefenseWall are history.
    That's the way I like it. :)
