Why Can't DDS9 Find My Hard Drives?

My C-drive is a WD360 (SATA) and my D-drive is a Maxtor ATA/133, both connected to a Promise 378 controller.

I recently bought and installed Disk Director Suite 9 and when I run it, I get Error Message E000101F4 "DiskDirector has not found any hard drives"!

Did I mess up during the installation, or what? o_O

Well, since neither Acronis support (e-mailed them on Monday) or any forum members have responded to my problem, I guess I'll just return the product (if I can) and try Partition Magic.

I don't mean to come across as impatient, but I have an immediate need.

Come to think of it, I had the same problem with TrueImage, but it was fixed in later builds... I sure hope Acronis gets DiskDirector9 fixed, not only because I need it, but I may have trouble returning an open software product.
