    Re: Wormguard 4 Suggestions

I downloaded wormguard and can't figure out how to do a scan of my system. As far as I can tell it just sits there and waits for something to happen. Is the trial version different from the full? How do you scan? I used an online scan that said I had a worm and keylogger but TDS couldn't find it.

    Welcome to Wilders, DBr. :)

Wormguard is not an on-demand scanner. It sits in the background and goes into action when it detects a bad guy. So if you already have a Worm on your system, I don't believe Wormguard is going to help you get rid of it. But it should keep it from executing.

    Hi there!
If you know which files are involved, you can scan with WormGuard, and you can submit them to Gavin for examination as they might be false positives. submit@diamondcs.com.au
Make sure when you scan with TDS to have all other scanners closed and check aal possible scan options in the TDS scan control.
For finding the files make sure all windows folder options are set to show all hidden files and extensions.

    Hi D&C :).

All you have to do is right-click on the suspicious file and choose "Scan with WormGuard". If I remember correctly, it won't work on a folder.....has to be a file.

    Regards,
    Jade.

Thanks, Bowserman. :) But I don't have that option in my right-click menu in Windows Explorer. I have the option to scan with my AV (NOD32) and TDS-3, but no Wormguard. o_O

    Hi Daisey....

It has to be a single file Daisey..... see pic... won't show up on a folder or directory.

    Cheers, TAS
