Just did a small malware test in the virtual kiosk, where I ran 5 malwares and let them install and infact. Then I exited the kiosk using the -> arrow and checked my windows and nothing made through and was clean as usual. So the malwares were stuck inside the kiosk. So I cleaned kiosk by resetting the sand box and thats was the end of the infections.

Man I love the virtual kiosk. It's like a virtual windows or virtual machine.

It seems you do not need any protection with kiosk on.

no you get out of kiosk and then click on the orange reset sandbox icon then click on erase changes and then click ok and that's it. the kiosk is cleared.

I think reboot does not clear the sandbox in comodo. you have to do it manualy. I have added the reset sandbox orange icon to the comodo gadget windows and just click on it when I want to clear the kiosk or sandbox.

something else I found about kiosk that is great. I tried installing some apps and a pup that comodo HIPS allowed to install inside the sandbox folder and it installed fine outside sandbox. comodo allowed it to install to my surprise. But when ran the same app and any apps inside the kiosk, nothing made it outside and all was kept inside the kiosk and deleted with clearing.

Anyway the virtual kiosk rules over the sandbox as nothing can make it to the real window.

    Bonjour taleblou,

I understand (from your post above) that it is not necessary to reboot in order to clear Comodo's virtual kiosk, but if you do restart your system without first clearing the kiosk what is the status of the kiosk's contents?

    Hi there my dear:

I had seen that the files I downloaded in the comodo sandbox which is where the downloads are saved so you can access it outside kiosk and transfer any file you like were there until I cleaned it myself manually by resetting the sandbox.

By the way while the kiosk is on you can not access the sandbox folder where your downloads are (it is locked for protection) until you exit kiosk.

Also inside kiosk all transfer to anywhere in the your windows(ex. to USB or external HDD) is write protected and blocked. You can only read from your real window and not write it. You can only do that once you close kiosk.

Any process in the kiosk is inactive after restart. So if there are any malware there it will passively wait to be cleaned by reset.
