    I don't know, in the last 2-3 years none of my computers detected anything at all while browsing. I'm usually a straight internet surfer, but I have occasionally been browsing potentially dangerous areas (including the so called 'deep web') and nothing has ever happened, not a single prompt from my security. Most of the time I think it is FUD and ignorant users who click on anything they find.

    I do find malware regularly on USB flash drives, but a lot less than say 3 years ago. This is probably due to the fact that MSE, AVG, Avira, and Avast are very popular with their free versions nowadays.
