i am trying to load the try it back up software. it loads ok but when it goes to instal it stops and a box comes up. it says THE CABINANT FILE DATA 1.CAB FOR THIS INSTAL IS CORRUPT AND CANNOT INSTAL. THIS COULD INDICATE A NETWORK ERROR OR AN ERROR READING FROM THE CD ROM OR A PROBLEM WITH THIS PACKAGE.

from this i dont know if i want this program or not

any ideas

i forgot to mention i am trying to use the free version of acronis for 15 days to try.

Edit Oops, this is not likely have the correct checksum value for the trial. Can you download again and try again.

You need to verify your download is correct as the first step.
If it is TI10 build 3854 have a look at this thread:

To check if the package isn’t corrupted please do the following:
- Download the eXpress CheckSum Calculator and unpack the archive;
- Run the application;
- Browse for the file and click Start to calculate the checksums;

The MD5 checksum for the Acronis True Image 10.0 Home trial installation package (English version) is [CC51B258282AC0ACCAC8E81482AEA070]

I would also like to note that seekforever probably meant Acronis True Image 9.0 Home (latest build 3854), which the link he provided mostly refers to. However, the only trial version for Acronis True Image Home currently available is that of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home.
