    Dear maddawgz

No that isn't possible anymore in the version prior then 2008 products you were able to not install some parts. If you don't need a firewall or parental control you can better buy BitDefender Antivirus 2008. You can disable the firewall uncheck the box before firewall once you are on the status tab and select permantly and click on ok.

    Best regards
    Niels

i think your asking the wrong person, (no offense Niels) but it might be a little biased. :)

there are no 'better', depends what works for you, BUT i would say both have qualities over the other.

    Dear maddawgz

Glad that I could help you.
You should decide yourself. I can't compare it because I never used AVG and I also don't know how that I can compare them fair.

    Best regards

That's the only thing I dislike about Bd now. Hopefully they will decide to implement this sometime soon.

    Dear L815

That is only my opinion if I don't need some features I will always buy the version that hasn't these options included instead of opt not to install some parts of lets say the Internet Security or Total Security suite. Why paying more for features you don't need?
I don't think that they will change it back as it was.

    Best regards
    Niels

Some suites have other options as well that an AV doesn't, so buying the suite might seem more suitable with the option to not install the only option they don't want.
