Just installed Prevx and after a few weeks when scanning got the message "CSI Scanner stopped unexpectedly" with the reason cited as "the pipe has ended." It gets to about 64% then zips to 99% and says "all clear." My other AV & Win updates looks like they are not connecting, so may be an infection. Any ideas here? Thanks.

Sorry do you mean a Windows log (the one to which I was referring) or have Prevx generate a log (if the latter I'm not sure how this is done)? Thanks!

    Hello,
Could you let me know where you're receiving the message of the service stopping unexpectedly? The Windows Event Log will register CSIScanner as stopping unexpectedly sometimes when it is performing an update or making internal changes (which is normal). It also isn't abnormal for the scan process to go from 63/64% to 99% - the time in the middle is when Prevx scans with the central database and if there aren't many files in need of being checked, the process can take place very quickly.

I'd tend to assume your Prevx installation is working fine and that the issue with the other applications is unrelated to the service stopping. However, if you'd like us to investigate your scan log, click Tools - Save Scan Results within Prevx and send the log to report@prevxresearch.com and we'll check to see if you have any missed infections.

Let me know if you have any questions! :)

Thanks, I'll take you up on that. It stops every single time I run it!
