I have downloaded a trial version of True Image for linux. I have installed it and now I have run into a problem. I am trying to make a image from a USB flash card. The problem is I can't select the USB drive to make the image, I can however select the USB drive to copy the image to??

My guess that True Image sees the flash card as a removable media which is fine to use for storage (much like an NFS server disk), but not suitable for imaging.

Oke, the flash disk is removable (USB). But still I would like to make a image from it!! Is this not possible with Acronis??

    Hello Joris,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Linux Server Disk Backup Software.

We regret to inform you that Acronis True Image is able to create images of hard drives only. You cannot create the image of removable media such as USB flash drive, Iomega ZIP drive, etc. However, you may store images on this devices.

    Thank you.

    Hello Joris,

You cannot create image of a USB flash drive with Acronis True Image. Acronis Backup programs don't have this option. We are really sorry for the inconveniences.

    Thank you.
