I'm attempting to create an image of my entire HP 750n hard disk drive. Apparently during the Acronis wizard steps, I have found out that I have TWO partitions residing in my machine: The HP (C) the primary active NTFS type, and the HP Recovery FS:FAT 32 Partition. Consequently,I need to know if BOTH of these partitions have to be checked in the wizard step,or if I can get away with just checking off and imaging the (C) primary one.

    Hello Nictoe,

Welcome to the Acronis True Image support forum.

I recommend that you select both partitions (i.e. the whole disk) as TI doesn't copy the Master Boot Record (MBR) into the image if you only select part of the complete disk. This would cause a problem in the event your HD failed and you needed to restore your system partition to a replacement drive.

    Regards
