rubbish... This is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. With a precedent like this you could go into the archives and force hoardes of established brands to change their names. It's not only 2 letters off, but has an additional 2 letters. Even McDonald's vs. McDowell's is less forgivable: "They have the golden arches, and we have the golden arcs. They have the Big Mac... we have the Big Mic."
I've yet to hear of anyone that agrees with this ruling. Sounds like the money is being pushed around behind the scenes again.
MS butted heads with Sky over SkyDrive a while back. Now this. Looks like Sky is MS's worst litigious enemy!
I've never heard of anybody being confused about those two names.
Huh, This is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. The two names are not even close to being similar in any fashion.
Never heard of Sky..
What a mess. I'm a member of the public and I'm confused now.
I only know sky as defined here:
That's what I've known since young. May I suggest the broadcaster Sky to change its name to something less cloudy?
1 more thing:
What about Google Sky?
It reminds me of when Spike Lee sued over the name Spike TV.
Maybe they could call it Windows Live Messenger... wait, nevermind...
Yeah, well, I keep confusing Skype with this http://www.celestron.com/support/celestron-skyportal lol!
I agree, the judges should be fired.
curiosity killed the cat...
stupids - but i think skype as a name would be history in near future and be rename to whatever.
guess what, it is patch day and skype is gone
Separate names with a comma.
