    Hello.

Through my job I can get a free Anti-Spyware program. And I can pick between Spyware Doctor and Counterspy.

But I dont know what to choose? Spyware Doctor or Counterspy?

    1. Which one has the best protection?
    2. Which one use less resources?

    Thanks :)

Counterspy no question. The latest versions of Spyware Doctor are total p.o.s.es. Another decent product ruined by trying to make it better.

Counterspy is what I would choose.
If you don't like it,you could always trial Spyware Doctor.

Have tried Spyware Dcotor twice - when my laptop was running XP and then Vista. Both times it crashed things within an hour and was removed soon after.

I now have CounterSpy runnig real-time and it just sits there and does its job nice and quietly.

Seems my choice is the same as everyone elses. Got mine on the $10 competitive upgrade deal but I think that has passed.

SD4.1 is very good. I also have Counterspy on work PC. SD has better I/F. Don't touch SD5 yet.

It would be sweet if that was still around.

I had to uninstall Spyware Terminator, and I am presently reviewing both CounterSpy and a-squared Anti-Malware. I want a program with some sort of HIPS (a-squared calls theirs IDS), and price could end up being a determining factor.
