doing a scan right now with my browser open and my cpu is running around 40 percent. Light compared to Spy Sweeper which would spike a 100 during the scan. It is early, but I like what I see.

It is quite in the background and is not slowing anything down that I am currently doing.

The CounterSpy beta is using a little over 23,000K here.
    That's the service.exe and tray.exe.

The improvement in resource usage is significant. My version uses from 90,000 to 100,000K.

I have not had the nerve to try the beta, and will wait awhile to see how it goes.

looks good to me and could be a replacment to spysweeper when lanched.

f-secure and spysweeper need to be replaced and i think ive found my replacements.

    antivir suite to replace f-secure
counterspy to replace spysweeper version 5.0.

since antivir is really light i might later add a few more apps.

anyscreenshots of the beta? or are you not allowed to disclose that?

Oh go ahead lodore and give it a shot. I love it, very stable and good. Sure beats Spy Sweeper and Spy Doctor for features that actually work.

well i sort of want to try it because spysweeper is such a resourse hog and causes so many problems. if you look in my sig you will se that I want to replace f-secure and spysweeper with antivir,prevx1 and counterspy.

but i dont know if i will try it yet.

Other then a one time BSOD right after install, I haven't had any problems.

detected a superadblocker that was installed by SUPERAntiSpyware but CS at present says the active X is unknown.
Eric? is there a way to send the file to support to be in a list? or I am sure they know about it by now?

    Comes from Superadblocker dot com

I am not able (or I am doing something wrong) to download counterspy. My membership is pending now for about three days!

just curious how much info you can get into here a
I have asked to join the group for 2.0. Is it still open? Since I'm seeing quite a few that have been waiting for a few days to get added to the beta group.
