Could not set up IPC connection to target computer
(SC error code 6, GLE error code 53)

This always occurs when trying to push install to WinXP pro clients.

The way I have found around it is to share a folder on the client machine, and un-share it. This allows NOD to push install fine.

Why is this happening please ?

I have full admin rights on the domain, all clients are on the domain and browsable.

Is there a way to open a connection remotely first, so as to then allow NOD to work ?

    Thanks for your help.

To open a connection first, can you connect to '\\workstation\c$' and login?

    Cheers :)

Most common cause is that the XP firewall on the clients does not have File and Print sharing set in the exeptions of the firewall rules.

Also they should be using your DC as their one and only DNS server.
