could not apply the stored configuration for monitors vmware

    I get this message every time I start up my CentOS7. I know the fix is to remove .config/monitors.xml, but how can I achieve this if I can't get to a terminal to apply the required commands?

    This is the exact message and I can't get to a terminal...any advice?
