I have been copying partitions to my new disk, using Paragon Partition Manager 11 Personal. They came out to be primary partitions, without my apparently choosing such an option.

When I reached the maximum number of primary partitions, I could not copy any further until I converted the primary partitions to logical partitions. This wasted lots of time.

Is it possible to copy a partition from one disk to another as a logical partition right away?

    How?

Sure! Just create on target disk and empty extended partition and copy logical drives into that extended partition.
