Lord Dedo von Medo, at your service, for I haz an iPhone now. An old one but still. And to that end, here's a benevolent tutorial showing you how to copy music and other types of media and documents onto an iPhone using KDE Connect in Linux, including additional functionality, plugins, sharing, and more. Should be cool. https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/iphone-local-music-kde-connect.html Cheers, Mrk
Enjoyed reading that. Missed your VLC article. Went back and read it too. I have not had to worry about the iPhone in quite a while. I am so glad my wife and kids switch over from the "darkside" to Android. Back when my wife had an iPhone, it was a struggle to get music on it. I learned to dislike iTunes a lot. At least now if the force compels her to the "darkside" again at least I know there are options. Pretty sure she will be sticking with Android, there are things that can be done music related you just can do with an iPhone. Regarding KDE Connect, A really useful tool. I transfer files to and fro using share on the phone and desktop. VLC on Android automatically picks up what was transferred. Does the iPhone allow customizing the destination directory to receive file like it does on Android?
