Hi, I'm using NOD32 version 3.0.566. It's been working very well for me, until earlier today I noticed that the "Scan with ESET NOD32 Antivirus" option for folders has disappeared! The option is there for everything else (such as files), but not for folders.

This may seem like a minor niggle, but I do use NOD32 as an on-demand scanner, and not being able to use it as such is a huge hassle for me. Is there a way I can get this context menu back to normal – icon and everything?

I have tried to repair the installation, but that didn't work.

    Advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello!

I use Windows XP and even with updates 2669 , it is here and working for both files and folders .

Reinstall the application to fix it:

    1. Download fresh new Eset v3 product from http://www.eset.com/download .
Make sure that you choose the correct version.
    2. Uninstall your current version from Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs
    3. Reboot the computer when prompted
    4. Delete manually these folders:

    - C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application data\Eset
    - C:\Documents and Settings\your user\Local Settings\Application data\Eset

    5. Reinstall your ESET smart protection with the file you just downloaded . Use typical install.

If this doesn't help , make sure that the shell extension (c:\program files\eset\eset nod32 antivirus\shellext.dll) is not disabled from start-up.

    HiTech_boy,

Thanks a ton for your post! I did just like you told me, and it worked like a charm! I now have the ability to perform on-demand scans anywhere! :D
