    Weren't suppose for them (OpenDNS) to protect their users? Didn't they advertise about it?

    OK, some users maybe have had an non-patched system, but, it should prevent those systems from communicating with the Conficker.C domains.

    I guess the hype was more than the effectiveness of it.
