The world gets steadily weirder. Not only must I keep my scanner lid closed when using it, I must now stop thinking. I wonder how Frank Herbert's Mentats handled IT security?

I have just watched Johnny Mnemonic and he had to hack his brain waves to gain access. It is interesting to see, how old sci-fi movies are coming true in 20-30 years.

That's right. I thought the same the last time I saw "Gattaca".

    Just in theory:
Regarding passwords, this does only apply to weak passwords like "johnny57". I hardly know any of my passwords because they are too complex. Of course I know the PIN for my bank card and a few other PINs but I usually don't have to think about most of my passwords.

I doubt that tin foil hats would help here :)

LOL EXACTLY what I am thinking. Better yet, Roman helmet should certainly work if someone worries that a tin foil is too thin to be effective.

That wouldn't help much either since EEG is worn under the helmet. :)
