Compaq Partition

Hello:

I have a Disk Director 10.0 and would like to split the partition on my Compaq v6000 currenty i have the following

NTFS c Pri act 60 free 30
Unalloctaed 7.8mb
D compaq RD 11.48 gb
NTFS 1gb

i want to split c but it gives me an error E000a0456 unable to split partition....
other options like increase space does not work

Was this with DD running in Windows or from the DD CD?
If the CD, was it the the Full or Safe Mode version?

Does a resize attempt result in the same error or a different error?

You can't split a partition, if the MBR is corrupted. You need to reboot the computer and schedule a Chkdsk to run choosing both options and reboot to run.

Schedule a Chkdsk on all partitions, prior to working with Disk Director Suite, and reboot to run.

When i click on the partition the up down arrows are greyed out i tried to manually change that ( Highlight and key in the Gbs ) but it comes back to 60gb , i know i have 30gb of free space there.

Log into your Acronis Account and download the latest version of DD, which is Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 (build 2,160).

You are not using the latest version.

You want to consider updating to the current build (2,160) of DD.

The Creator your suggestion worked Chk dsk removed the grey area great TS skills without much info from my side ,now its accepting to resize and split partitions dint have to update i was not sure how that would help this is a basic dd function.
