But the bug frequency differs. Comodo is still weak here.
e.g. recently after hibernation wireless mouse refused to work on my main PC. Lukily I've recently read that you can fix some issues changing HIPS to "Training Mode".

The changelog states "200 bug fixes."
This has been the case since 6.1.

Comodo v6 it seems was released too early.

did they take down the pics i dont see them at that link now?? my biggest issue when i tested the previous version 6 was when it detected malware and i told it to remove the file or detection and it said it did but those files or .rar etc were still there. nothing actually got deleted. i did see them in the quarantine list but they remained in the downloads folder.

Using this from a few weeks now...Its ROCK SOLID and I am LOVING it!

Guess what...I think I have got a new walking stick to walk on the path of the internet for a while and I am going to stick to this

Also,I think If HIPS and sandbox both are on,HIPS starts to ask you a question on each action, good to see it coming turned off,I still wish if that would have been like v5 where HIPS and Sandbox worked together when both are on to keep the user interaction down.

Its great to see COMODO doing so well,as good as they ever were :thumb:

I made a new Windows 8 (64-bit Pro, with SRP on and UAC) setup with Comodo IS 6.3 free version (x64 package from Softpedia) a week ago. Comodo was set up mostly according to Chiron's guide.

Yesterday I noticed when I started Windows update the first time, by hand, it didn't work. Using Fix problems with Windows Update didn't help (it said it did fix some problem, but when doing it again, it again says it fixed some problem, and again... still the problem remained), or starting it loggin in as administrator.

Obviously Comodo's firewall blocks the Update for some reason. I changed the rules for Windows updater applications from allow all IP out to any address (for some reason the inbound traffic for W. Update wasn't on), to allow all IP in/out. Didn't help either. Nothing shows up in Comodo's logs. Latest Comodo updates are installed.

I have Zemana Anti-keylogger, but no other software worth mentioning that might interfere.

I didn't have similar problems with previous Comodo versions.

    Any ideas or solutions?

I had the exact same problem yesterday and just disabled the Windows Update. I too would like to know if there is a fix.

To make things more complicated, I have another previously installed (from an older image) instance of Windows 8, where Comodo IS is also v6.3 (possibly by updating from older version, but can't remember for sure right now), where Windows Updater keeps working.

I ran the updater resetting fix from
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

The relevant part of feedback it gave:
service registration is missing or corrupt
    reset service registration
    missing or corrupt files detected
    repair missing or corrupt files
    reset security settings
    SFC output
windows resource protection could not start the repair service

    But no help.

I tried that too, if I made it right. I added an Application rule for Comodo's firewall, where I allowed svchost.exe TCP and UDP for any addresses through the port 443, in and out. Didn't work, so I allowed HTTP ports, that I believe were 443, 80, and 8080. Didn't work either.

If Comodo's guys are reading this thread, perhaps they could comment if this is a Comodo problem or some obscure Windows 8 problem (and suggest a solution, perhaps).
